The Student Intern Program is no longer accepting resumes for Summer 2017.
The program runs from mid June - August.
Are you looking to start a career in the Computer field and looking for some hands-on experience? If so, you should consider the internship program at the Alameda County Information Technology Department (ITD). The internship program at the Alameda County provides the interns an opportunity to work on the latest technologies solving real business problems under the guidance of an experienced professional. The intern gets to experience the processes, challenges, and deadlines that an IT professional would face in everyday work. The internship opportunity would range from developing applications to setting up a new server.
The program has proven to be rewarding for the internal IT staff as well as the interns, each learning from the other, discovering new views of what government work really looks like. Each intern is assigned a project to work on with assigned deliverables to be completed by the end of the program. The program provides the interns a collaborative space, leads to mentor and guide, ability to collaborate within a team, projects with deliverables, and attend classes to educate the interns about County government and the role technology plays in servicing the community.
